CSI College for Legal Studies (CSICLS), Kanakkary, Kottayam, is a premier self-financing law college established with the vision of delivering quality legal education grounded in strong ethical values and social commitment. The college is owned and managed by the CSI Madhya Kerala Diocese, a widely respected educational and ecclesiastical body in Kerala with a long-standing tradition in shaping institutions of academic excellence.

The CSI Madhya Kerala Diocese is one of the twenty-four dioceses of the Church of South India and traces its origins to the formation of the Church of South India in 1947. Formerly known as the Diocese of Central Travancore, it carries forward a rich heritage that dates back to the early missionary movements in Kerala. Inspired by the pioneering efforts of the Church Missionary Society (CMS), which introduced liberal English education in Kerala, the Diocese has consistently played a transformative role in the fields of education, social reform, and nation-building.

Today, the Diocese manages 149 educational institutions, including 7 colleges, and oversees more than 400 congregations across Kerala, along with several congregations across India and abroad. CSICLS stands as a continuation of this historic mission—integrating faith, knowledge, and service through modern legal education.
